Boothbay Harbor, Maine is about 20 minutes south of Coastal Route 1 just after you pass the bridge at Wiscasset.

It's a pretty town with many shops, coffee, restaurants, whale watches, etc. In the winter it gets quite desolate, but it is still beautiful even if there's nothing to eat.

It's also a great area for driving around, with many rugged hills and scenic vistas.
