Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens
They include formal gardens, educational gardens, a culinary garden, a large and utterly fabulous children's garden, beatiful stonework, several water gardens, a garden-of the five senses, winding woodland paths down the the inlet, and whimsical sculptures like our friend shown here. On top of that they have top-notch facilities, easy paths, and plentiful seating attractively arranged. You can easily spend 2-3 hours here. If you enjoy the beautiful woodland trails, then the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens easily rival the legendary Longwood Gardens outside of Philadelphia and the Butchart Gardens of Victoria, BC. The best news is that members of Blithewold or any of over 200 other public gardens get free admission through the generous reciprocity program! (1 vote)
