While searching for a recipe to use some baking caramel that I recently purchased, I stumbled across this incredible recipe for a Caramel Apple Cake, courtesy of the Great Cake Company. http://thegreatcakecompany.blogspot.com/2011/09/sunday-baked-caramel-app... One of the suggested ingredients is Boiled Apple Cider from the King Arthur Baking Company. As a frequent online shopper of King Arthur, of which I need to visit in person one of these days, I knew this cake must be something special, so I ordered the cider, and patiently waited for the arrival. Well, it was worth waiting for. I made the cake it is was beyond what I expected. The result was a gorgeous cake with a wonderful balance of spice and apple flavor. I cannot wait to try Boiled Apple Cider in a bread pudding - one of my favorite desserts. I will experiment with a recipe and let you know the recipes. Bon Appetit!
