The Pioneer Valley is another name for the Connecticut River Valley within Massachusetts, mostly from the Holyoke Range north to the Vermont Border.

It is home to UMass Amherst and the 5 Colleges, Historic Deerfield, fun shopping in Northampton, the Montague Book Mill, and at least three nano-brewers.
