Shoreham, Vermont is a pleasant little town between Middlebury and Rutland and Lake Champlain in the Champlain Valley. It is home to Douglas Orchards and many others, and to the fabulous WhistlePig Rye Whiskey. There is a ferry to Fort Ticonderoga, too, so it really is a great place to use as a jumping-off point for exploring the lower Champlain Valley. We come through Shoreham several times a year on our Foodie Pilgrim adventures.
