Bar Harbor

Bar Harbor seen from the summit of Cadillac MountainBar Harbor is a little town, but it is the jumping off place for Acadia National park and the glorious views form Cadillac Mountain.

It is also a deep-water port visited by many cruise ships, so the streets can get quite busy in the summer.

There are many, many shops and restaurants, and a pleasant waterfront park.

In my opinion, everyone in New England should visit Bar Harbor and Cadillac Mountain at least once, but sometimes it seems like they do it all on the same day!
