If you need some good beer, you could do a lot worse than the aptly-named Good Beer Store in Fryeburg, in Western Maine.  Like the labels of some craft beers, the store doesn't look like a world-class emporium of fine ales. Your humble Pilgrim sailed past it on our expedition, but saw it at the last minute and turned back. I'm glad we did.

When you step inside. you find the  staff is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and the selection is truly world class.

Of course you can find products from local heroes Moat Mountain and Tuckerman Brewing, but you can also find lesser-known locals like Ossipee's Sap House Meadery and excellent ales from far-off lands like the celebrated Yeastie Boys of New Zealand (but no Heady Topper...yet!).
