Evan's Notch is just above the Cold River as it passes between NH and Maine along its 17-mile route to the mighty Androscoggin in the White Mountains of Western Maine.  The drive along Rte 113 is not long, but it is stunningly beautiful, especially as the leaves are turning, typically in early October in time for the Fryeburg Fair.

It is also not far from the world-renowned Ebenezer's Pub in Lovell, and the excellent Good Beer Store in Fryeburg.
