This is a delicious little treat that you might try some night when you're out of Dry Vermouth, and then come back to again and again. 

It's not a strong cocktail, but it is refreshing and flavorful, great for a relaxer after work and before dinner. 

Some of the Artisanal Gins made in New England I have found to be particularly copacetic companions for Sweet Vermouth - do try them in this venerable and little-known cocktail.
