French and Brawn is a nice upscale market in a nice upscale seaside town. It's a little pricey, but you get what you pay for: their products are good quality, in good condition, well-displayed and sold by knowledgeable staff.

In addition to the usual grocery store fare, French and Brawn has a full butcher counter, a nice selection of wines and aperitifs (that's where I scored the long-sought Cocchi Americano), good produce, and more.

Parking on Rte 1 can be a challenge, but there are parking spaces on adjoining Elm Street and a large municipal lot down the hill by the waterfront.
