Sweets and Meats is one of the markets that makes Rockland, Maine a foodie destination. They have a locavore focus, and they find some pretty interesting products.

The market includes a deli counter and a bakery shelf, and some seating where you can enjoy a lunch with really good micro-roasted coffee.

The coolers are stocked with interesting things to drink of all varieties, many from Maine. I got some Urban Farm Fermentory Oak-Aged Kombucha there. That's not something you see every day!

They also sell a good assortment of bulk spices and the staff is knowledgeable about them.

Sweets and Meats is not far from the main downtown shopping area. If you come down Rte 1 and turn the 90-degree left into downtown Rockland, then Sweets and Meats is just a couple of blocks behind you. It's an easy walk.
