Alba Produce, called Albie's by the locals, is almost invisible from Parmenter Street. The nondescript green awning doesn't say anything, and there is no other signage. Fortunately Parmenter Street is not very long, and if you are following it from Polcari's Market past Sulmona Meats you'll find Albie's.

Inside it's not much bigger than the shops in the Haymarket, but as the last surviving greengrocer in the North End, they make sure to cater to the local needs. For example, this is the place to get cardoons, a classic of northern Italian cuisine, in the fall.
