I have been going to Ed Hyder's Mediterranean Marketplace for many, many years, since he was in a hole-in-the-wall on Park Avenue. It was always my go-to place for fresh spices and some oddball bulk goods like dried beans and peas and lentils of all varieties. As the market has grown he had added all sorts of specialty foods. condiments, and a great selection of wines. If I need something out of the ordinary, I always check with Ed first.
