Description

Hot Port Sangaree makes a lovely warmer on a cold night - that's what I made for myself to sip while reading Nathaniel Hawthorne's tales of Old Esther Dudley and her companions in the Province House.

Ingredients

5ozRuby Port
1ozSimple Syrup
2⁄3ozPomegranate Molasses
1⁄4ozLemon Juice
2dsOrange Bitters
1dsAngostura Bitters
4eaLemon Zest (in long strips)
1pnNutmeg (ground)

Instructions

Heat in a small saucepan and serve in a coffee mug. Sprinkle with fresh Nutmeg.
