Description

I got this recipe from a Peach Cobbler recipe at Allrecipes.com, but it's good for other cobblers as well.

Ingredients

1cFlour
1⁄4cSugar
1⁄4cBrown Sugar
1tBaking Powder
1⁄2tSalt
6TButter (Unsalted) (chilled and diced)
1⁄4cBoiling Water

Instructions

  1. Put the water on to boil.
  2. Combine the remaining ingredients as if making a pie crust - cutting in the butter until it's like coarse cornmeal.
  3. Add the boiling water and stir lightly until it makes a thick paste, but not too heavy.
  4. Dot this with a spoon over the hot filling before returning it to the oven for final baking. Put spoonfuls opposite each other and sometimes around the center to get even coverage.
