Description
I got this recipe from a Peach Cobbler recipe at Allrecipes.com, but it's good for other cobblers as well.
Ingredients
| 1 | c | Flour | | 1⁄4 | c | Sugar | | 1⁄4 | c | Brown Sugar | | 1 | t | Baking Powder | | 1⁄2 | t | Salt | | 6 | T | Butter (Unsalted) (chilled and diced) | | 1⁄4 | c | Boiling Water |
Instructions
- Put the water on to boil.
- Combine the remaining ingredients as if making a pie crust - cutting in the butter until it's like coarse cornmeal.
- Add the boiling water and stir lightly until it makes a thick paste, but not too heavy.
- Dot this with a spoon over the hot filling before returning it to the oven for final baking. Put spoonfuls opposite each other and sometimes around the center to get even coverage.
