Ingredients
InstructionsBlend sugar and fat, then add eggs and combine well. Combine flour Baking Powder, and Salt, then blend in the fat mixture. Add Vanilla and Lemon extracts. Preheat oven to 350. Form into crescents, discs, or rods a little bigger than thumb-sized. This can be quick with a cookie press; you can tweak the shapes later. Dip in milk, then roll in seeds and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake about 20 minutes.
NotesSpry was mentioned in Mama's recipe, but it hasn't been made since the 1970s. You can use Crisco or unsalted butter. I like butter.
