Description

A delicious sweet Russian pastry for pies.

Ingredients

2cPastry Flour
1⁄3cSugar
1⁄8tSalt
12TButter (Unsalted) (chilled and chopped)
6ozCream cheese (at room temperature)
1⁄2tVanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Sift the dry ingredients together.
  2. Cut in the butter and cream cheese until it resembles coarse bread crumbs.
  3. Knead briefly on a cool board.
  4. Wrap and chill until needed, at least 45 minutes.

Notes

This uses no water! And it is delicious.
