Sour Cream Pastry

Summary

This Russian pastry is essentially a basic pie crust with a little baking powder, and sour cream and egg yolks instead of water.

This recipe is used in the showstopper Kulebiaka

Combine the dry ingredients.
Add the butter as for a Basic Pie Crust.
Combine the sour cream and egg yolks and then add the mixture to the flour-butter mixture.
Knead gently for 30 seconds. Do not overwork the dough.
Chill before using.
